Are you an experienced Civil Engineering professional with a passion for developing future talent? We are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading further education provider who is looking for a dedicated Assessor Trainer in Civil Engineering to join their dynamic team.
About the Role - Assessor Trainer in Civil Engineering
As a Civil Engineering Assessor/Trainer, you will manage a caseload of apprentices, supporting them throughout their learning journey. You will provide high-quality coaching and mentoring, helping learners to develop essential knowledge, skills, and behaviours needed for success in the industry. You will also build strong relationships with employers to ensure on-the-job learning is meaningful and well-supported.
Please note: A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle (insured for business use) are essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities - Assessor Trainer in Civil Engineering
1. Conduct regular learner progress reviews and provide constructive feedback.
2. Support learners in developing their portfolios and preparing for end-point assessments.
3. Work closely with employers to identify suitable workplace tasks and training opportunities.
4. Ensure effective tracking and documentation of learner progress in line with quality standards.
5. Deliver targeted training sessions to support wider personal and professional development.
6. Promote core values and ensure compliance with awarding body standards and practices.
Requirements
7. Relevant Civil Engineering qualification and industry experience (essential).
8. A Level 3 vocational qualification.
9. TAQA (or equivalent assessing qualification), or willingness to work towards.
10. Strong communication and organisational skills.
11. A genuine passion for training, coaching, and supporting learners.
12. Understanding of apprenticeship standards and end-point assessments.
13. Level 3 Internal Quality Assurance qualification (desirable).
