About Cam Woodfield Junior School
Cam Woodfield Junior School is a welcoming two-form entry junior school in Cam, Dursley, proudly serving a diverse community and deeply committed to equity, inclusion and opportunity for all. The school currently has 192 pupils across an eight-class structure, with 29.7% of pupils eligible for Pupil Premium and 30.7% of pupils identified with SEND.
The school shares its site with a Local Authority-run infant school and a private nursery offering before- and after-school care, creating strong links with families and the wider community.
After being placed in special measures in 2017, the school has undergone a significant transformation and was judged GOOD by Ofsted in May 2022. Today, Cam Woodfield is a thriving, inclusive school where the individual child is placed at the centre of everything we do. We are proud of our strong pastoral culture, inclusive ethos and commitment to removing barriers to learning.
Our focus on wellbeing is recognised through the Healthy Schools Award and Mental Health Champion’s Award, reflecting our belief that children thrive when they feel safe, supported and valued.
