About the Role:
This is a fantastic opportunity for a veterinary nurse who is eager to make a real difference. Your primary focus will be on delivering outstanding inpatient and outpatient care, working closely with our veterinary surgeons to ensure seamless treatment plans and a positive experience for both pets and their owners.
Key Responsibilities Will Include:
• Dedicated Patient Care: Providing attentive nursing care to hospitalized patients, including monitoring, administering medications, feeding, and maintaining hygiene.
• Anaesthetic Monitoring: Closely monitoring patients during surgical procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort.
• Surgical Assistance: Preparing patients for surgery, assisting vets during procedures, and providing post-operative care.
• Diagnostic Support: Assisting with diagnostic imaging and laboratory procedures.
• Client Communication: Liaising with pet owners, offering compassionate advice, and updating them on their pet's progress.
• Maintaining High Standards: Ensuring a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment.

Hours and Schedule:
• 38.6 hours per week spread over 4 days, allowing for a great work-life balance.
• 1 in 9 Saturdays on a rotational basis.
• Out-of-hours shifts are also available if you're looking for additional hours and experience. Our priority is providing effective care when patients need it, sometimes these shifts will be ad hoc and at occasionally at short notice.
About You:
• You must be a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) with the RCVS.
• You possess a genuine passion for animal welfare and a deep commitment to providing the highest level of patient care.
• You are an excellent communicator, both with colleagues and pet owners.
• You are organized, proactive, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• You are calm under pressure and empathetic in challenging situations.
