In this role, you will work with a portfolio of clients to ensure that the team delivers on key accounting and bookkeeping activities. You will manage a team of people, including an Assistant Manager and accounting staff, ensuring they meet key reporting deadlines and targets.
Services include traditional accounting, bookkeeping, financial statement preparation, and review. The entities serviced by the Edinburgh team are high complexity and have quarterly reporting requirements.
To be successful in this role, you should be a qualified accountant with prior experience managing a team’s workload. You should be capable of performing appraisals, setting objectives, and utilizing technology to automate some activities.
Your responsibilities include:
1. Delivering relevant services and managing the team daily, including coaching, prioritizing workload, and reviewing work performed.
2. Planning, allocating, and monitoring work to ensure timely delivery.
3. Maintaining the quality of services in line with delivery timelines.
4. Reviewing financial statements, including full bookkeeping review, transactions, valuations, and accounting records.
5. Preparing financial statements for complex entities within prescribed timelines and reviewing team work to ensure quality.
