As an integral part of the Operations Team, the Assistant Operations Manager role is pivotal to the daily functioning of the Machinery and Parts warehouses.
Key Responsibilities:
* Working closely with and providing cover for the Operations Manager
* Supervision of warehouse and parts operatives
* Assisting with health & safety management
* Assisting with onsite maintenance management
* Recording of maintenance and inspection records for all essential equipment
* Goods inwards control
* Goods outwards control
* Point of contact for our haulage and courier networks
* Delivery planning
* Supervising the loading of goods
* Dealing with goods returned
* Ensuring all necessary paperwork is issued to sales support team for invoicing purposes
* Providing absence cover within machinery & parts warehouses
* Stock inventory counts
Essential Experience:
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages along with the willingness to learn our bespoke IT programs, systems and processes
* People management
* Forklift truck, reach truck, tractor and overhead crane operation
* Relevant H&SE IOSH qualification advantageous
