Responsibilities
* Review clinical negligence leads reviewed by the medical legal team and SIDSS.
* Accept at RA1 any cases which satisfy the ‘acceptance criteria’ as set out in the firm’s policy document.
* Identify on risk assessment the relevant date of knowledge, record on Proclaim and record the reasons why the limitation period has been set to that date.
* Provide training, guidance and support to Medical Law Services and Fletchers lawyers as necessary.
* Support systems teams with the development of the SIDSS system.
* Provide legal guidance to the MLS Teams and, where needed, assist with case progression.
Ideal Candidate
* Experience of handling clinical negligence claims
* Excellent attention to detail
* Excellent case management skills
* Good knowledge of medical conditions and ability to identify appropriate case categories
* Analytical skills and a methodical approach
* Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining high standards
* Excellent communication skills
* Ability to work as a team member and remotely
Desirable Qualifications, Skills And Experience
* Experience of Proclaim or other software tools such as Adobe, Microsoft
