As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals in need of assistance. Duties
* Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration.
* Provide emotional support and companionship to clients, fostering a positive environment.
* Implement care plans tailored to individual needs, ensuring that all aspects of care are met effectively.
* Assist with mobility and physical activities, including heavy lifting when necessary.
* Monitor and document client progress, reporting any changes in condition or behaviour to appropriate personnel.
* Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote mental and physical well-being.
* Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to health and safety regulations.
* Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care delivery.
Skills
* Proficiency in First Aid and CPR is essential.
* Experience in Care is required
* Knowledge of Alzheimer's care, dementia care, and senior care practices is beneficial.
* Familiarity with medication administration protocols and medical terminology is required.
* Previous experience in home care or assisted living settings is an advantage.
* Strong caregiving skills with the ability to manage patient care effectively required.
* Competence in case management and behaviour management techniques is preferred.
* A valid driving licence may be necessary for transporting clients as required.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effective interaction with clients and their families.
