Overview
Pumping Support Engineer role at CUPONING PULICIDAD S.L. Location: Yorkshire region. Base will be determined by your home location. Work type: Permanent, 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
What we do
Yorkshire Water serves 5.4 million people in the region with essential water and wastewater services. The Asset Management department plans and delivers solutions to meet changing customer and regulator expectations. The Pumping Support Engineer will drive and deliver industry-leading customer service and operational excellence, identifying and mitigating operational risks and communicating progress to stakeholders.
Responsibilities
* Identify and deliver mitigation options to operational risks and create high-quality business cases for investment.
* Understand and control risks across the Pumping network at asset, geographical and process levels.
* Lead and drive standards in health and safety, risk management, and control of work activities.
* Develop sustainable solutions to immediate operational risks and work with frontline teams to exhaust local funding options before progressing through PROAMS.
* For unfunded risks, develop and implement mitigation options with operational teams; lead PROAMS meetings and ensure evidence of risks for progression.
* Develop training, coaching and processes to enable data-driven risk reporting in EDA; champion risks through the approvals process.
* Create high-quality EDA needs documents presenting well-justified business cases; maintain progress visibility for each risk through the investment cycle.
* Collaborate with Asset Planning to use all available data to optimise network performance.
What skills & qualifications you will need
* Understanding of Health and Safety legislation, policies and requirements for the sewer network.
* Expert knowledge of sewerage system assets, common failure modes and solutions.
* Knowledge of company Quality systems; recognised qualification or proven technical experience in Wastewater Operations.
* Proven ability to influence operational teams and prepare successful business cases for investment.
* Experience delivering exceptional customer service; understanding of financial and cost centre management.
* Ability to acquire, interpret, and disseminate technical and financial information; strong planning, analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; IT literate; ability to build networks with internal and external stakeholders.
* Clear demonstration of Yorkshire Water values and behaviours; knowledge of Microsoft applications, YW telemetry and ICOM systems.
* Full valid EU driving licence and use of a car.
You will also benefit from having
* Understanding of E&M aspects of the network and gravity sewer processes.
* H&S training (IOSH or equivalent).
