Clinical Development Fellowship (CDF) in Obstetrics & Gynaecology
Fixed term until 4th August 2026. Full time (part time applications shall be considered).
Salary Scale - £45,504 - £71,550 per annum (pro rata for part time post holders).
Responsibilities
Applications are invited from enthusiastic individuals for this Clinical Development post to support the Obstetrics and Gynecology department in Forth Valley. We are seeking a highly motivated doctor to join our established medical team. The role will involve contributing to the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Inpatient and Outpatient services. Duties will include, but are not limited to:
* Working on the labour ward and reviewing obstetric and gynecology emergencies
* Looking after antenatal, postnatal and gynecology in-patients
* Exposure to obstetric ultrasound and specialty clinics within gynaecology
* Providing clinical care across acute and outpatient settings on a Tier 2 rota
About the post
This post in the Obstetrics and Gynaecology department at Forth Valley Royal Hospital provides an excellent opportunity to obtain experience in Obstetrics and Gynaecology within a modern NHS hospital. The CDF post includes 6 hours per week of protected development time and 2 hours of in-house training. The remaining time is distributed between clinical work in obstetrics and gynecology, including out-of-hours work.
Location: NHS Forth Valley, in the heart of Scotland, with access to Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park, and transport links to Edinburgh and Glasgow.
Qualifications and requirements
* Full General Medical Council (GMC) registration and a licence to practice.
* Eligibility to undertake clinical duties within Obstetrics and Gynecology.
