Role Overview:
We are currently seeking an experienced Dietitian to join our team. This role is a hybrid position which requires someone on site two days a week.
Key Responsibilities
Obesity Management:
o Conduct comprehensive assessments, evaluating patients' current weight, body mass index (BMI), dietary habits, physical activity levels, and medical history.
Medication Knowledge:
o Offer detailed information on various obesity management medications, including their mechanisms of action and intended use.
Eating Disorder Assessment:
o Conduct clinical risk assessments to evaluate physical health, psychological status, and behavioural patterns related to eating disorders.
Nutritional Education:
o Educate patients on nutrition fundamentals, including macronutrients and micronutrients and their roles in health.
o Provide guidance on creating balanced meals, appropriate portion sizes, and understanding food labels.
o Offer additional resources, such as handouts, recipes, and support groups, to enhance learning and application of nutritional principles.
Overall Integration:
o Collaborate with dietitians, prescribers, pharmacists, and medical providers to ensure a holistic treatment plan.
o Commit to ongoing education, empowering individuals with knowledge about nutrition, health, and self-care practices
Qualifications & Experience:
* Recognised degree in Dietetics or a related field.
* Registration with a professional body in the UK.
* Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within weight management would be advantageous.
* Familiarity with creating educational content in various formats.
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 (DOE)
