Your Role
We are currently recruiting for a Road Logistics Sales Account Manager to join our highly successful, market-leading International Road Logistics team. Due to continued growth and investment, we are seeking a Sales Executive responsible for generating new business and promoting our freight services to potential clients and existing customers. This role involves full account management, from initial telesales through to delivery, with the Account Manager expected to drive profit growth through effective customer management.
We are looking for enthusiastic, innovative, and motivated individuals with a genuine passion for sales. The ideal candidate will go the extra mile to understand the unique needs of each customer, providing tailored account management that adds real value to their business. The role also requires offering unrivalled accountability within the industry.
Your Responsibilities
1. Generate new prospect leads and accounts via telephone and face-to-face interactions (a company car will be provided).
2. Engage in telesales, face-to-face selling (B2B), negotiations, and presentations.
3. Grow gross profit and achieve targets set out in the Account Manager Scheme.
4. Meet sales productivity and revenue targets.
5. Provide high levels of internal and external customer care.
6. Offer accurate and cost-effective quotations to customers.
7. Prepare weekly/monthly sales activity reports as instructed by the Branch Manager.
Your Skills and Experiences
1. Experience in proactive telesales or cold calling sales roles, ideally with outbound telesales experience.
2. Desirable: Minimum of 2 years' experience in European road freight.
3. Experience in generating own sales leads is beneficial.
4. Experience working towards targets and KPIs.
5. GCSE Maths and English Grade C or above (or equivalent).
6. Strong administrative and organizational skills.
7. Ability to influence others.
8. Full Driving Licence.
