About The Role
Hesley Group are recruiting for an Assistant Grounds/Maintenance Person to be based at Low Laithes, Barnsley. The Full time rota for this role is for 5 days per week, Monday - Friday. Hours of work are 7.30am-4pm. This role is also open to Part time. The role involves working as part of a small team to maintain and develop the grounds of a large estate to a high standard to create a safe, attractive and engaging environment in which people can live and work. #he-1
About You
The successful candidate must be physically fit, enthusiastic and have experience in a similar grounds or gardening role. Experience in a variety of grounds tools and equipment (hedge trimmers, pedestrian mowers, strimmers etc.) is highly desirable but formal training will also be given.
The role also involves working in both residential gardens but also wider communal spaces and woodland areas. This role also involves the responsibility of checks on outdoor playing equipment, general external cleaning or repairs and site management duties.
You should be prepared for the physical and outdoor nature of the role that requires you to work in all weathers. As part of a small team of grounds people you must be a good team player as well as have the ability to build positive relationships with the people we support at Low Laithes and other employees.
