Overview
An employment opportunity for a Senior Healthcare Support Worker in the Wythenshawe Out of Hours Team. We are looking for a keen and motivated individual to join a friendly team. Flexibility to rotate between Nights and Days shifts is essential.
Applicants should be educated to NVQ level 3 or equivalent in healthcare with relevant clinical experience and an enthusiasm to learn. Basic IT skills are an essential part of the job. The role will involve contact with patients and medical staff, so good communication skills are essential. Clinical skills include bloods, cannulation, ECGs, blood gases, observations and direct patient care, including attending emergencies.
Responsibilities
* Provide direct patient care and support to patients and medical staff in an out-of-hours setting.
* Utilize clinical skills such as blood sampling, cannulation, ECGs, blood gas analysis and patient observations; respond to emergencies as required.
* Communicate effectively with patients, families and healthcare teams to ensure safe and smooth care delivery.
Qualifications
* Educated to NVQ level 3 or equivalent in healthcare with relevant clinical experience and a clear willingness to learn.
* Basic IT skills are essential.
* Previous experience in an acute setting is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided.
