Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and empathetic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive school in Harrow. This is a full-time position beginning in September 2025, ideal for someone looking to make a real difference in a school environment that values care, consistency, and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide one-to-one and group support to pupils with a range of SEN, including autism (ASD), ADHD, and speech and language difficulties
* Assist teachers in adapting classroom activities and resources
* Support the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour strategies
* Encourage student engagement, independence, and emotional well-being
* Work closely with the SENCO and wider school staff to track and report progress
The Ideal Candidate Will:
* Have previous experience working with children with SEN (preferred but not essential)
* Be patient, resilient, and highly motivated
* Possess strong communication and teamwork skills
* Be committed to safeguarding and promoting student welfare
* Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
