Head of Development Management & Major Projects needed in Bournemouth Paying £570.33 per day ref
Full time hours on a temporary basis
* Key Responsibilities
o Lead and manage the Development Management and Enforcement functions, including complex and strategic planning applications from submission through determination and delivery
o Oversee major development projects of strategic and regional importance
o Develop and maintain effective relationships with development, regeneration, and delivery partners at local, regional, and national levels
o Ensure local communities' needs, concerns, and expectations are understood and fairly represented within the planning process
o Lead service planning, performance management, budget control, and continuous improvement activity
o Manage and report Section 106 contributions, including collection and expenditure
o Lead the preparation, implementation, monitoring, and review of development management policies and wider planning strategies
o Ensure effective coordination with building control and other related disciplines
o Represent the Planning Service at committees, stakeholder forums, and external working groups
o Champion social value, sustainability, and high-quality place-making
o Create a positive learning environment through delegation, mentoring, coaching, and development of staff
o Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and procedural requirements
