Lighting Technician We are looking for a talented person to join our team of experienced professionals, responsible for the development, testing and manufacture of standard and non-standard products ensuring a high-quality product/project is delivered from concept to client. You will work alongside the Development Engineer and other operatives to problem solve, test and development of our products. Benefits 23 days holiday, increasing to 29 days on length of service Summer and Christmas parties Paid holiday on Christmas Eve (or last working day before Christmas shut down) Health cash plan for everyday medical expenses (optical, dental, physio and more) Employee Assistance Program Workplace pension Free parking Modern and clean working environment Opportunities for development Employee referral scheme Uniform and tools provided Key Responsibilities Assemble custom lighting fixtures in collaboration with the product design and production teams Support the lighting production team by wiring and building control panels Problem solve technical challenges involving drivers, lamps, dimming protocols (DALI and DMX), and low-voltage circuits Assist the design and sales teams in building mock ups using in-house facilities Use tools to modify fixtures and customise lighting accessories Plan on-site work, ensuring accurate, detail-focused installation and excellence on every project Essential skills & Experience Minimum of 2 years' experience programming LEDs Casambi, Teensy, DMX and Dali control knowledge (advantageous) LED product and industry knowledge an advantage Good level of electrical knowledge Electrical or soldering experience Good understanding of Microsoft products (particularly excel) Read basic production drawings Attributes Eager to learn with a can do attitude Keen interest in electronics Highly motivated for the delivery of accurate and high quality work Works effectively and calmly under pressure and to strict deadlines Good communication skills both verbal and written Work effectively as a team player Driven and goal oriented Conscientious Accurate with a high attention to detail On occasion, be willing to be flexible regarding the start and finish times to meet particular, forseen and unforseen work with the appropriate level of overtime approved in advance.
