We're recruiting experienced dedicated and compassionate Care Workers to join our nurse-led team at Cera to provide care to our clients in and around the Newton Mearns (G77) area. You'll be providing care and support to a gentleman who has suffered a severe incomplete cervical cord injury at level C1/2 resulting in total paralysis of all four limbs and the diaphragm, who's specific needs include: Fully ventilated 24 hours a day and uses both a dry and wet system of ventilation delivered via tracheostomy Receives all nutrition and fluids via Mic-Key Button tube Elimination managed by suprapubic catheterisation and bowel regime Shifts include 12 hour shifts covering days from 6.45am to 7pm 12 hour shifts covering nights from 6.45pm to 7am Alternate weekend required We provide a comprehensive clinical training and induction programme, overseen by professional nurses, to ensure you have the skills and confidence to succeed in your role working as a Care Worker in the Specialist Team. We are looking for people who have excellent people skills, are great communicators and can work effectively in a team as well as independently.
