Job Description:
Responsibilities:
– Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive building safety policies and procedures.
– Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
– Identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks.
– Coordinate emergency response plans and conduct safety drills.
– Manage and maintain safety documentation, including inspection reports and incident records.
– Collaborate with building management, maintenance teams, and contractors to ensure safety standards are met.
– Provide training and guidance to staff on safety practices and emergency procedures.
– Stay updated on industry best practices and legislative changes related to building safety.
Skills and Qualifications:
– Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
– Proven experience in building safety management or a similar role.
– Strong knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards.
– Excellent analytical and problem–solving skills.
– Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
– Ability to work independently and lead a team.
– Certification in building safety or occupational health and safety is preferred.
Additional Requirements:
– Ability to handle physical demands of inspections and emergency situations.
– Availability for on–call duties in case of emergencies.
