Job Description
* Complete month end procedures, including journals, accruals, variance analysis, and management reporting
* Assist with the preparation and analysis of budgets and forecasts
* Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances
* Maintain and update daily cash trackers
* Support PSA, ONS, and environmental submissions
* Assist with audits by preparing and providing required documentation
* Support systems testing and implementation initiatives as required
* Provide ad hoc support to the wider finance team and offer cross cover where needed
* Previous experience in a ledger or accounts assistant role, or is a recent graduate
* A good understanding of basic accounting principles
* Strong organisational and problem solving skills, with good attention to detail
* A passion for continuous improvement, both personally and in improving work processes
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with at least good Excel skills
* A high level of integrity, with the ability to handle confidential information discreetly
* A proactive approach, able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a small hybrid team
* Flexibility and adaptability to support a growing group of companies
* A positive attitude and willingness to learn through coaching and self driven development
* Ideally, you will be AAT qualified or part qualified (CIMA / ACCA), with exposure to finance month end processes, although this is not essential.
