Night shift working independently to prepare baked goods for the day ahead.
Duties
* Prepare and bake a wide range of products including bread, pastries, cakes, doughnuts and cookies.
* Follow recipes accurately to ensure consistency in taste and presentation.
* Monitor inventory levels of baking ingredients and assist in ordering supplies as needed.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bakery area, adhering to food safety regulations.
* Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, and other baking tools safely and efficiently.
* Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
* Experiment with new recipes and techniques to enhance the menu offerings.
Skills
* Strong culinary skills with a focus on baking techniques.
* Previous experience in a restaurant or commercial bakery environment is preferred.
* Knowledge of food preparation methods and food safety standards.
* Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
* Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
