About the Role
As a Legal & Recoveries Advisor, you’ll work closely with customers who have defaulted on their motor finance agreements, balancing individual circumstances with business priorities to reach fair and commercially sound solutions. This is a fast-paced role that requires sharp decision-making, meticulous attention to detail, and an unwavering focus on achieving results.
Key Responsibilities
1. Customer-Focused Problem-Solving: Provide first-class support via inbound/outbound calls, email, and webchat to customers in default, identifying tailored solutions to prevent agreement termination.
2. Balancing Priorities: Combine customer-centric solutions with commercial considerations, ensuring the best outcomes for both parties.
3. Debt Recovery Decisions: Assess cases where resolution isn’t possible, determining appropriate next steps such as asset recovery or civil litigation.
4. Third-Party Collaboration: Work closely with asset recovery agencies, auction houses, and litigation solicitors to drive effective outcomes.
5. Post-Sale Negotiations: Support customers post-sale of assets by agreeing on fair payment plans for any remaining shortfall balances.
6. Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to the Legal & Recoveries Policy, FCA requirements, and New Consumer Duty regulations, demonstrating Marsh Finance’s core values.
What We’re Looking For

4. Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and other essential systems.
