Futures are looking to appoint a Senior Project Manager to lead a small delivery team and oversee a portfolio of mid-value projects, typically running for several weeks at a time. This role is ideal for a proactive, organised, and commercially aware PM who thrives in a fast-paced environment with multiple concurrent workstreams. The Senior Project Manager will take full ownership of project planning, delivery, resource management, and stakeholder communication. You will ensure all projects are completed on time, within scope, and aligned with agreed commercial and quality expectations. The role requires balancing hands-on project execution with team leadership and continuous improvement initiatives. Roles & Responsibilities: Manage multiple mid-value projects simultaneously, each lasting several weeks. Create and maintain robust project plans, timelines, budgets, and risk registers. Oversee project execution from initiation to closure, ensuring deliverables meet agreed standards. Coordinate cross-functional inputs, external partners, and internal resources. Identify risks and issues early and implement effective mitigation strategies. Lead, mentor, and motivate a small team of project coordinators or junior PMs. Provide clear guidance, role modelling, and performance feedback. Allocate workload effectively to ensure efficient team utilisation across projects. Support ongoing development and capability building within the project team. Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders. Maintain clear, consistent communication throughout the project lifecycle. Facilitate status meetings, present updates, and manage expectations proactively. Build strong relationships to support repeat business and long-term client satisfaction. Track project performance using relevant tools and KPIs. Report on progress, resource usage, costs, and risks to senior management. Ensure projects follow internal governance frameworks, quality standards, and best practices. Contribute to continuous improvement of project processes and methodologies. Required Skills & Experience Proven experience managing multiple concurrent projects, ideally mid-value and short-cycle. Previous leadership experience managing or mentoring small teams. Strong organisational and prioritisation skills with an ability to manage shifting demands. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation abilities. Solid understanding of project governance, risk management, and reporting frameworks. Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Asana, or equivalent). Relevant project management certifications (e.g., PRINCE2, Agile PM, PMP) preferred but not essential.
