Job description
Job responsibilities
Seeking a talented & compassionate caterer to join our team of Chefs, Catering Assistants & volunteers. You will deliver high-quality, cost-effective in-house catering, creating fresh, well-balanced, home-cooked meals for patients & staff, and leading your shift to meet dietary needs with care & precision.
Person Specification
Experience (Essential):
* Good organizational skills
* Ability to plan, prepare & deliver hospitality for events
* Previous cooking experience and expertise
* Understanding of nutrition
* Knowledge of H&SAW, COSHH standards
* Customer service awareness
* Strong communication and motivational skills
* Ability to work under pressure and independently
* High personal presentation standards
* Basic PC skills
* Ability to cook with fresh ingredients for various diets
* Knowledge of food safety, kitchen safety & allergens control
* Creativity in menu development
Desirable:
* Experience working with volunteers
* Experience coaching/training staff or volunteers
* Creativity in recipes & menus
* Engagement with patients, visitors & the public
* Experience supporting customer service for buffets, barbecues & events
Attitude and Behaviours (Essential):
* Flexible regarding working hours for events and weekends

Qualifications (Essential):
* Food Hygiene Level 2 or higher
