We’re partnering with a well-established organisation to support the growth of their People Services function. They’re seeking an experienced Reward Team Leader to join on a maternity cover contract, taking the lead of a small team of advisors and overseeing the accurate, efficient delivery of both reward and payroll operations.
The Role
As Reward Team Leader, you’ll oversee the day-to-day performance of a small, capable team, ensuring excellent service delivery and compliance across payroll, benefits administration, and reward processes. You’ll be responsible for coaching and guiding the team, acting as a key point of contact for escalations and stakeholder engagement.
This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role, ideal for someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves, leading by example, and building a culture of continuous improvement. You’ll have exposure to a wide range of stakeholders across the business and play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and compliant reward function.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage a small team of advisors within reward/payroll delivery
* Oversee monthly payroll data and benefits processing
* Monitor KPIs and service standards, ensuring timely and accurate delivery
* Work closely with internal stakeholders across HR, Finance, and shared services
* Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement and system automation
* Support compliance, audit and reporting activities
* Coach and support team members, managing performance and development
About You
* Proven experience in a payroll, reward, or shared services environment, with line management responsibility
* Strong understanding of payroll processing, reward operations, and compliance
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage high volumes and tight deadlines
* Confident communicator with experience handling escalations and stakeholder relationships
* Resilient and adaptable, with a continuous improvement mindset
* Experience using systems such as Oracle or a similar HRIS is advantageous
