GSL Education are seeking to appoint Food Technology Teacher to work at an Ofsted-rated ‘Outstanding’ Secondary School located in York, North Yorkshire in September 2025.
Food Technology Teacher Responsibilities:
* Deliver engaging and practical Food Technology lessons to students.
* Plan and implement creative schemes of work.
* Encourage a passion for nutrition, healthy living, and culinary skills.
* Assessing and providing constructive feedback to students to aid their progress and achievement.
* Maintain a safe, inclusive, and well-organised classroom environment.
Food Technology Teacher Requirements:
* A teaching qualification, namely a PGCE or a B.Ed. with QTS in Food Technology or Hospitality/Catering/Food Science.
* A specialism in Food Technology, or a closely related subject.
* Passionate about teaching Food Technology along with a strong command of the subject
* A commitment to high standards of teaching, learning, and safeguarding.
* Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
* Hold an Enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for a new one with GSL Education.
