The team is multi‑disciplinary and provides specialist assessments, treatment and interventions for young people suffering from moderate to severe complex emotional, behavioural and psychological issues resulting in mental health problems.
North Yorkshire and York Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services are seeking to recruit a CAMHS Clinician to work in Scarborough. You will be part of a team working with young people with mental health problems living in Scarborough, Whitby and the Ryedale area.
Responsibilities
* Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans for young people with complex emotional, behavioural and psychological issues.
* Provide evidence‑based therapy such as CBT, DBT or FT, and make independent clinical decisions.
* Collaborate with social care, acute care and community partners across the region.
* Participate in the team’s multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to service improvement.
* Support staff development and assist with training where appropriate.
Qualifications
* Professional registration as a Child, Mental Health or Learning Disability nurse, social worker or occupational therapist.
* Minimum of 18 months post‑qualifying experience, including sign‑off of an appropriate preceptorship or competency framework.
* Training in a governed evidence‑based therapy (CBT, DBT or FT) or qualifications as a Non‑Medical Prescriber (NMP) is preferred.
* Experience working clinically with children and young people with mental health and neuro‑developmental needs.

Two start dates per month are available – the 1st and the 3rd Monday.
