Regional Sales Manager – Nestlé Grocery role at Acosta in West Midlands, United Kingdom. This is a Full Time position on a 6-month FTC with Nestlé, representing our partner, Acosta Europe.

Main purpose of role
To work in conjunction with the National Field Manager to develop your team to deliver operational KPIs, add value, and drive commercial development initiatives. To recruit, manage, direct and motivate a team of Field Sales Executives, enforcing all field performance standards, procedures and systems to ensure deadlines are met and company policies are applied throughout the Field Sales team.
Key Tasks And Responsibilities
* Strategy: Agree business objectives and KPIs for Field Sales Executives with line management each period; carry out monthly team meetings to discuss results, provide training, and set direction on strategic priorities.
* Leadership: Conduct individual performance appraisals, implement development plans, conduct Development Days, audits, and coaching in the field to improve performance; ensure each Field Sales Executive understands their role and key result areas.
* Performance: Ensure the team achieves ROI, sales and distribution targets; drive KPI achievement; maintain Field Team satisfaction and retention; train and develop Field Sales Executives.
* New Business: Stay informed on industry trends; perform high-profile store visits with the client to maximise opportunities; provide regular communication of feedback and opportunities to line management.
* Data Recording & Reporting: Regularly analyse team performance with data insights and produce weekly and monthly reports as agreed with line management.
* Compliance: Ensure all Field Sales Executives complete mandatory Acosta University modules; ensure understanding of retailers’ standards of performance and conduct in-store.
* Technical: Understand ENGAGE script and phone operation to optimise data capture; understand Lost Sales Value Shopping list to drive team performance.
* Financials: Monitor the Field Sales Executive budget, reconcile expenses and fuel costing, and calculate bonuses based on budget and performance.
* Administration: Validate field results through audits; maintain records for all equipment and company property allocated to the Field Team.

Who we are looking for
You will have demonstrable experience within FMCG, retail or a sales environment. Experience from other sectors will be considered for motivated individuals. Previous experience managing a remote or field-based team is advantageous. You must hold a full manual driving licence and be able to travel within a defined territory.
