Job Description Real Estate Associate Location : Leeds PQE Level : 1 years' PQE Salary : £40,000 - £55,000 Bonus Join a Tier 1 Ranked Real Estate Team as Associate Are you an ambitious Real Estate Associate looking to build your career with a leading international law firm? Our client, a London headquartered, international, full-service law firm with 250 years of heritage and a reputation for award-winning innovation, is seeking a talented Associate to join their highly regarded Transactional Real Estate team in Leeds. With new and exciting client mandates, this high performing Transactional Real Estate team is looking for a 1 year PQE lawyer to join their expanding Leeds practice. You will act for a number of FTSE 100 and significant local clients, supporting a variety and full range of real estate work including the sale and purchase of substantial investment property and large-scale portfolios, investment and property management, and acting for national developers and occupiers throughout a range of sectors. The firm provides first-class technical insight and training and is looking for an enthusiastic team member who wants to build their long-term career with them and become a well-rounded lawyer providing quality, commercial advice for clients. The Role As an Associate in the Transactional Real Estate team, you will work as a member of some of the firm's principal client account teams on a variety of market-leading deals across a wide spectrum of commercial property work. You will compete with market-leading real estate teams pitching for the work you will be carrying out and negotiating against these firms on the transactions you work on. You will act for some of the foremost investors, developers, and occupiers, working on high-profile matters for major national and international clients across multiple sectors. Your key responsibilities will include: Transactional Work: Supporting the sale and purchase of substantial investment property and large-scale portfolios Advising on investment and property management matters Acting for national developers and occupiers throughout a range of sectors Working on landlord and tenant matters Advising on property management issues Supporting sales and purchases transactions Assisting with development and regeneration projects Providing corporate support on real estate aspects of transactions Client Relationship Management: Working closely with existing clients to maintain and develop relationships Acting as a trusted adviser capable of providing timely and quality advice whilst managing expectations Engaging with internal and external stakeholders of all levels Understanding clients, their drivers, and what matters to them Providing advice with quality, imagination, and impact Team Collaboration: Working collaboratively as part of a cohesive team to execute large-scale, high-value client matters to the highest standard Taking a leading role on some matters (early levels of responsibility within a supportive environment) Supporting senior lawyers on complex transactions Contributing to the team's success and reputation Professional Development: Engaging with formal training programmes (whether technical or skills based) Drawing on mentoring, coaching, and leadership programmes available Continuous development and learning Building your skills as a well-rounded lawyer Key Responsibilities: Drafting clear and legally effective documents which reflect the client's instructions Maintaining efficient diary and task management across a range of matters Ensuring the accuracy and levels of client service expected within a high performing team Adopting a consultative and thorough approach to tasks Remaining calm and optimistic in time sensitive situations or under pressure Finding solutions to clients' legal challenges and requirements About You Essential Requirements: Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales At least 1 years' PQE within commercial real estate Strong technical knowledge of commercial property law Experience with commercial real estate transactions Understanding of landlord and tenant law Good drafting skills with ability to produce clear and legally effective documents Experience engaging with internal and external stakeholders of all levels Ability to adopt a consultative and thorough approach to tasks Efficient diary and task management skills across a range of matters Ability to maintain the accuracy and levels of client service expected within a high performing team Ability to remain calm and optimistic in time sensitive situations or under pressure Enthusiasm, resilience, and ambition to find solutions to clients' legal challenges and requirements Enthusiastic about the development of your legal skill set and continuous learning Inquisitive and wanting to understand clients, their drivers, and what matters to them Strong attention to detail and accuracy Commercially focused with good problem-solving abilities Highly Desirable: Experience with sale and purchase of investment property Experience with large-scale portfolios Experience with investment and property management Experience acting for developers and occupiers Experience with development and regeneration projects Experience providing corporate support on real estate matters Experience working with FTSE 100 clients or major national clients Experience working in a large, international law firm environment Experience working on high-value, complex transactions Strong client relationship skills What's On Offer Our client is committed to recognising and rewarding great work, with rewards and benefits that are among the best in the business.
