The Role
We're working with a well-established manufacturing business looking to bring in a Goods Inwards Quality Inspector on a 6-month fixed-term basis.
This role sits at the front end of production and plays a key part in making sure all incoming materials meet required standards before being released into the manufacturing process.
What You'll Be Doing
Inspect incoming materials against purchase orders, specifications, and quality standards
Review and verify material certification (EN10204 3.1 / 3.2)
Check chemical and mechanical properties against specifications
Carry out visual and dimensional inspections
Support non-destructive testing where required (PMI, DPI, hardness testing)
Apply sampling plans in line with ISO 2859-1
Raise and manage non-conformance reports
Maintain accurate inspection and traceability records
Work closely with suppliers, purchasing, and internal teams to resolve issues
What They're Looking For
Experience in a manufacturing or engineering quality environment
Strong understanding of incoming inspection processes
Experience working with material certification (3.1 / 3.2)
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
Good attention to detail and a methodical approach
