Overview
Willowcrete Manufacturing Company Ltd, are looking to employ an Accounts/Finance Supervisor. This is a full-time 5 days per week position, 8:00 am until 4:30 pm (Mon – Fri).
We are a long-established family business, incorporated in 1950, based in Crowther Industrial Estate, Washington. The thriving company employs 21 people, including teams of skilled fence erectors, steel fabricators and concrete production staff. Much of the firm's success can be credited to teamwork, a hard-working loyal staff and a long-held reputation for quality.
We are currently looking to recruit an Accounts Officer to join our small office-based team.
Salary: £33,000 to £35,000
Hours of work: Mon – Fri 8.00 am – 4.30pm
The successful candidate will be: -
Self-motivated, positive and a conscientious team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Highly numerate and possess exceptional attention to detail.
Methodical in prioritising workload and have a high level of accuracy.
Key responsibilities include: -
Purchase/Sales ledger processing via Sage 50 including monthly supplier payment runs
Processing of Payroll
Uploading BACs payments
Account reconciliations on a weekly and monthly basis daily/weekly basis
Credit control & debt chasing
Management of Petty Cash
General Sales ledger processes
Producing end of month reports for MD
Preparation of statutory accounts
Additional responsibilities include: -
Assist with answering in-coming customer telephone enquiries
Dealing with general enquiries.
Raising Sales Orders and Invoices
Booking external carrier if, and when required.
Knowledge and experience:
Minimum AAT (Level 3 or higher) qualified (knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting procedures)
Experience working with the following:
Sage, VAT, HMRC returns, Pensions and CIS
Experience of working within an accounts department for 2 years (minimum)
