We are looking for a Ward Manager (RMN or RNLD) to join our team at Cygnet Taunton.
Cygnet Hospital Taunton provides acute inpatient admissions service for men and women and a specialist inpatient service for men diagnosed with a learning disability.
Your day-to-day
You’ll be working 40 hours a week in Acute Mental Health with adult males.
£61,590 per year
* Provide suggestions, proposals & recommendations to the Hospital Manager aimed at the continued development of the ward
* Contribute & participate in planned visits to the ward by professional visitors
* Initiate & maintain a monitoring system in relation to professional nursing practice at unit level, including pin numbers & the current registration of all qualified staff
* Ensure that the evaluation of service delivery is user (i.e. patient, carer & family) based
* Advise non-clinical staff within the hospital on management of patients with mental illness
* Ensure patients’ rights to confidentiality are respected & that Cygnet Health Care & professional policies are adhered to.
You are
* Committed to delivering improvement strategies across all aspects of clinical service provision
* Familiar with an in-patient setting
* Experienced in managing change, leadership initiatives, motivating & developing others
* Open, compassionate, honest & resilient
* Capable of undertaking audits, developing, following-up & ensuring completion of action plans
* Well-informed of the Mental Health Act & the latest nursing practices
* Focused on patient recovery to monitor, manage & reduce risk.
