About the role

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Electoral and Registration Services Apprentice to join our busy team. This Advanced (Level 3) Apprenticeship is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable skills and experience in business administration, while supporting the vital work of our Electoral and Registration Services.

As an Apprentice, you’ll play an important part in providing administrative support across a range of projects within the Registration team, while also helping to ensure our office processes and systems run smoothly. This role will give you a solid foundation in administration and public service, with training and development opportunities along the way.


Key Responsibilities

* Deal with enquiries from members of the public, internal departments, and external organisations on registration and electoral matters.
* Provide general clerical support, including post, filing, scanning, photocopying, and responding to correspondence.
* Develop IT and database skills, using systems and software to support electoral and registration services.
* Support with arranging meetings, taking notes, and distributing documents.
* Collate and update records, ensuring documentation is accurate and up to date.
* Assist with financial administration, including contributing to SAP for transactions.
* Provide support to colleagues during busy periods and undertake other ad hoc duties as required.


About You

We are looking for someone who is:

* Keen to learn, with an interest in administration and public services.
* Organised, accurate, and able to follow processes carefully.
* A good communicator, with the ability to deal confidently and politely with members of the public.
* IT-literate, with a willingness to develop further digital and administrative skills.
* Able to work as part of a team while managing tasks independently.

No prior experience is necessary - just enthusiasm, commitment, and the drive to make the most of this apprenticeship opportunity.
