Age 16–18: £7.96 per hour — 40 hours per week (including study leave)
Age 19–20: £11.06 per hour — 40 hours per week (including study leave)
Age 21+: £12.21 per hour (rising to £12.71 in April) — 40 hours per week (including study leave)

What does a life as an Business Support Administrator in the planning team look like?
This Business Administration (Level 3) apprenticeship will give you a strong foundation in organisational, communication and coordination skills while working as part of our Rotherham Repairs & Maintenance contract. Although the apprenticeship sits within Business Support, the end goal is for you to develop the skills and experience needed to progress into a planning role.
You’ll work closely with our planners and schedulers, gaining hands‑on experience in scheduling repairs, managing appointments, supporting workflow coordination and understanding how we deliver services to our customers. Throughout the programme, you’ll build confidence using our systems, handling enquiries, prioritising tasks and supporting the smooth running of the contract.
By the end of the apprenticeship, you’ll have developed the core administrative and operational skills required to step into an entry‑level planning position, with a strong understanding of how our planning and scheduling teams operate day to day.
The apprenticeship course will cover the following: -
1. Developing strong administrative and organisational skills
2. Learning how to manage and prioritise workloads effectively
3. Gaining experience using business systems, software and internal processes
4. Communicating professionally with customers, colleagues and stakeholders
5. Supporting planners and schedulers with coordination tasks
6. Updating records, maintaining accurate data and managing documentation
7. Understanding how repairs are scheduled and monitored within the Rotherham R&M contract
8. Building problem‑solving skills and supporting day‑to‑day operational tasks

10. A genuine desire to learn and develop strong technical knowledge, including the skills, technology, and safety procedures needed to carry out the full range of tasks
11. Strong communication skills
12. Ability to build and maintain positive customer and client relationships
13. Please note due to the nature of the role, successful applicants must complete a basic Maths and English assessment

23. Please note: as part of the selection process, you will be required to complete a basic maths and English test, similar to the assessments needed to join the college
