Daleside Fabrication is a specialist mixed-material fabrication company with over 30 years of experience and a reputation for quality across a range of sectors, including leisure, construction, marine, themed attractions, and staycation projects.
We’re looking for a new team member to join our workshop on the outskirts of Kirkby Lonsdale.
While experience matters, finding the right person to join our team is even more important. If you don’t meet all the criteria below but can bring something unique to the role, we’d still like to hear from you.
The Role:
This is a hands-on role based in our busy workshop. You’ll be working on a variety of projects, including:
* Manufacturing luxury glamping pods to the highest standards.
* Providing bespoke joinery services, such as crafting reception desks for the commercial fit-out sector.
* Assisting with boat fit-outs, working with oak and other materials.
* Working on mixed-material fabrication for the leisure sector, including creating components for indoor climbing walls and themed attractions.
You’ll also:
* Adhere to safety regulations when handling heavy materials and operating machinery.
* Maintain a clean and organised workspace, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored.
* Collaborate with the team to complete projects efficiently and to the highest standard.
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 07:00–17:00.
Flexibility: Part-time hours may be considered for the right candidate.
What We’re Looking For:
* At least 2 years (post-apprenticeship) joinery experience, ideally in a workshop environment.
* Competence in using bench joinery tools and machines.
* A good understanding of working drawings.
* A focus on quality and attention to detail.
* Commitment to health, safety, and environmental procedures.
* Someone who works well in a team and gets along with others.
Desirable (but not essential):
* Previous experience in a similar workshop environment.
* Ticketed for operating machinery including FLT and scissorlift.
* Experience or a willingness to work with other materials – we are a mixed material fabricator with a strong background in steel fabrication. Being open to trying your hand with a variety of materials is a big plus for us.
