What You'll Be Doing:
* Leading from the Front: Oversee all aspects of our manufacturing operations, from planning and scheduling to production and delivery.
* Optimising Performance: Implement and refine processes to maximize efficiency, reduce waste, and improve output quality.
* Inspiring Your Team: Mentor, motivate, and develop a skilled workforce, fostering a culture of safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
* Driving Innovation: Identify and implement new technologies and methodologies to keep us at the forefront of the industry.
* Ensuring Quality & Safety: Uphold rigorous quality control standards and champion a proactive safety culture across the workshop.
What We're Looking For:
* Proven Experience: Significant experience in manufacturing management, ideally within metal fabrication, welding, or a related heavy industry.
* Transferable Skills Welcome: Don't have direct metal fabrication experience? If you've managed complex manufacturing processes, led teams, and driven operational improvements in a hands-on production environment, we want to hear from you!
* Leadership Prowess: A natural leader with excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
* Operational Excellence: A strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles, continuous improvement methodologies, and quality management systems.
* Technical Aptitude: Familiarity with engineering principles, manufacturing equipment, tools, and technologies. Different welding techniques, metals, and finishes.
* Safety First Mindset: An unwavering commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
