The role in brief
An opportunity has arisen to join the the Client Relationship Team, part of our Financial Planning department, as a Client Relations Associate.
Who we are looking for
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who has strong administration experience, perhaps within a professional services environment or similar, and would like to take their admin skills in a different direction into the world of Financial Planning.
Equally, it could be someone who is already experienced in a similar role within another Financial Planning firm.
What the role involves
As part of the Client Relationship Team, you will be involved in tasks such as:
Running a variety of administration tasks for a specific Client Bank, liaising with the external client, as well as internal team members such as our Paraplanners and Financial Planners.
As the role progresses, providing technical support to Financial Advisers and Paraplanners.
Working as a team and being aware of the work load spread within team at any given time, supporting others where needed.
Completing Valuations in a timely manner.
Maintaining a compliant file.
Ensure any documents received are filed and distributed correctly.
Play an active part in business development initiatives, looking for ways to improve the Client Relationship role and department efficiencies.
Your development
We provide a complementary range of learning opportunities to ensure that you maximise your potential in areas such as becoming a trusted adviser, how to network, presentation skills etc with opportunities for progression around the firm. These will comprise personal effectiveness as well as your technical skills.
We have 6 monthly performance review conversations to ensure your development is on track, as well as optional monthly 1-2-1s. You will also have the opportunity to work with a mentor.
We also encourage you to get involved in wider firm initiatives and have your say on how we can progress on our journey towards being the best North-West firm of finance professionals.
There would also be the option to work towards a recognised qualification in the field should you wish, such as a Level 3 Award in Financial Administration.
Your attributes
As well as experience within admin or financial planning, we'd like you to be:
Keen to play an active role in a dynamic team and willing to contribute to the success of the team and the firm as a whole.
Passionate about providing great client service.
Great at communicating with people at all levels - face to face and in writing.
Positive and good at using your initiative.
Good at working under pressure.
Motivated and well organised.
Excellent at managing your own workload within given timescales and ensuring clients expectations are met, or exceeded.
Able to provide input to Managers on projects and how to better what we do for all parties.
Our ideal candidate will:
Have a proven track record within another admin or client service role.
Have a keen desire to learn about a new field of Financial Planning (if no experience),
Have experience within a professional services environment or financial planning (although not essential)
Be eager to develop themselves long term.
Have minimum GCSE passes at both Maths and English.
Have experience managing a busy and changing workload, working as part of a team.
