Old Vicarage Nursing Home is seeking a Health Care Assistant to join our dedicated healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities:
* Assist patients/residents with personal care activities, including bathing, dressing, toileting, and grooming.
* Support patients with mobility and daily activities, promoting independence wherever possible.
* Assist with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring dietary requirements and special needs are met.
* Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes or concerns to qualified nursing staff.
* Provide emotional support, companionship, and reassurance to residents.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care provided.
* Follow infection control, Health & Safety, and safeguarding policies at all times.
* Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care.
Qualifications and Requirements:
* Previous experience as a Health Care Assistant or in a similar healthcare role is required.
* Compassionate, patient, and caring nature with a genuine desire to help others.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work as part of a team and adapt to changing priorities.
* Understanding of Health & Safety and infection control practices.
* Reliability, professionalism, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
* Willingness to undertake further training and professional development.
* Satisfactory Enhanced DBS check.
