Workshop Manager - PKC13719 £Perth & Kinross Council is seeking a highly motivated Workshop Manager to lead the operational management of our busy Fleet Services Workshop. As Workshop Manager, you will be responsible for the day to day running of the Council s vehicle maintenance workshop, ensuring all work is carried out efficiently, safely, and in line with legislative and regulatory requirements. You will lead a team of skilled technicians and support staff, manage maintenance schedules, oversee compliance, and ensure the continued reliability of our diverse fleet including cars, vans, HGVs, plant and specialist vehicles. Manage the daily operations of the fleet workshop, ensuring efficient workflow and high service standards. Lead, motivate, and develop a team of workshop technicians and support staff. Ensure full compliance with DVSA, health & safety, and Council policies. Oversee vehicle inspections, servicing, repairs, and planned maintenance schedules. Monitor workshop performance, productivity, and quality of work. Manage budgets, parts procurement, and maintenance records. Drive continuous improvement in workshop processes and fleet reliability. City & Guilds Parts 1 & 2 or N/SVQ Level 3 or equivalent level of certification. MOT Site Manager or become MOT Manager within an agreed time of appointment You must have a valid UK driving licence as this post requires you to travel to a variety of locations across Perth and Kinross.
