We now have a vacancy for a hard working and flexible welder/heavy plant fitter at our site in Bawsey.
Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Welder/Heavy Plant Fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various welding techniques (MIG and stick) and heavy plant maintenance/repairs. This role requires a keen attention to detail and a commitment to safety standards.
Duties
* Perform welding on various materials.
* Utilise hand tools, power tools, and machinery.
* Routine maintenance on heavy plant.
* Operate forklifts and cranes for material handling as needed.
* Maintain a clean and organised work area while following all safety protocols.
Requirements
* Proven experience in welding and fitting.
* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
* Experience operating hand tools, power tools, forklifts, and cranes safely.
* Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
You must have good attendance, be reliable and punctual and have the ability to adapt quickly to changes in the workplace. A flexible, "can-do" attitude and a strong work ethic are essential personal skills.
