Responsibilities/Job Description:
We are hiring a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist to join our MRI department at Fairview Woodwinds Hospital in Woodbury, MN.
The MRI Technologist functions independently within the boundaries of professional practice, performing all major responsibilities. They provide high-quality diagnostic imaging services to patients and physicians, deliver age-appropriate patient care according to established standards, and collaborate with the healthcare team. The technologist is responsible for adhering to all policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements (ARRT).
Schedule:
This position is full-time (1.0 FTE), working 80 hours every two weeks. The shift is 8 hours, typically Monday through Friday, from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, including rotating weekday and weekend call.

Key Responsibilities:
* Provide patient-specific diagnostic images, ensuring standards of practice and patient care supplies are met.
* Maintain patient care and comfort.
* Perform examinations and accurately identify relevant data from images.
* Communicate findings clearly to healthcare professionals.
* Ensure patient safety and emergency preparedness.
* Document patient information and ensure proper film identification.
* Complete computer functions accurately, including edits, status changes, and logging.
* Ensure accurate film marking and jacket preparation.
* Achieve quality images through proper positioning and equipment operation.
* Participate in training, education, and orientation of new employees and students.
* Maintain and operate equipment correctly, optimizing its use and understanding the visualized structures.
Minimum Requirements:
* ARRT Certification.
* Meet MRI Safety Screen requirements.
* Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, current before the date of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Additional education in Imaging or Healthcare.
* At least 1 year of experience.
* MRI Certification within 18 months of hire or transfer.
Compensation:
$40.41 - $57.05 per hour.
