Children’s Community Nurse
Band 5: £32,073–£39,043
Fixed Term Maternity Leave Cover
Hours: Up to 30 hours per week (negotiable for fewer hours)
Responsibilities
Locala Community Healthcare Services is committed to delivering high‑quality primary care services, enabling patients to understand and manage their own health. We need proactive professionals who can share our ambition and drive forward our goals.
* Deliver evidence‑based nursing care to children and young people within the community
* Support children with complex and additional healthcare needs
* Provide education and support to families and carers to promote independence and wellbeing
* Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, schools, social care, and partner agencies
* Participate in assessment, care planning, safeguarding, and clinical reviews
* Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with NMC standards
* Contribute positively to service development and team learning
* Provide nursing cover one day a week at a Special Educational Needs school alongside experienced colleagues
Qualifications
* Registered Children’s Nurse (RN Child/RSCN) or due to qualify soon
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Compassionate, adaptable, and eager to learn
* Capable of working independently and as part of a wider multidisciplinary team
* Interest in community children’s nursing and delivering care closer to home
