Role: Student Experience Advisor
Location: Tresham College – Wellingborough Campus
Salary/Benefits: Salary between £23,557 and £25,849 per annum (Pro-Rata) DOE and qualifications, pension, discounts, development opportunities, and access to college courses.
Hours/Weeks: 20 hours per week – 40 weeks per year
Contract Type: Fixed Term – Part Time – Fixed until 27 March 2026
About The Role
We are currently seeking a Student Experience Advisor to join our Student Services department on a Fixed Term basis. As a Student Experience Advisor, you will support the success of our students in the following areas:
* Careers Guidance & Progression Support – Deliver impartial careers advice, support UCAS applications, facilitate progression routes, and contribute to a cross-college careers programme.
* Pastoral, Financial & Welfare Support – Provide guidance on health, welfare, and financial matters including bursaries, benefits, and HE funding; assess applications and refer students to appropriate services.
* Stakeholder Engagement & Communication – Work with tutors, internal teams, and external agencies to promote opportunities, deliver staff development, and represent the college at events and outreach activities.
* Service Development & Quality Assurance – Collect and report data on service impact, maintain safeguarding records, ensure policy compliance, and contribute to projects.
* College-Wide Responsibilities & Statutory Duties – Support enrolment, open days, invigilation, safeguarding; uphold equality, health & safety, and engage in ongoing training in line with TBCG values.
About You
* Qualifications & Professional Development – Level 2 English and Maths, a Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject, and working towards or holding a Level 6 CEIAG qualification and Youth Mental Health First Aid certification.
* Communication & Interpersonal Skills – Confident communication with students and staff at all levels, ability to write formal/informal correspondence, and a professional telephone manner.
* Administrative & Organisational Skills – Strong administration, planning, and event coordination skills with attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
* Experience & Technical Competence – Experience working with diverse groups, delivering 1:1 and group support, and proficiency in Word, Excel, and database systems.
* Personal Attributes & Commitment – Friendly, flexible, reliable with a can-do attitude; committed to safeguarding, equality, and continuous improvement; willing to travel across sites and adapt working hours.
