Job Description:

Job Description

AtkinsRéalis is one of the world’s leading multi-disciplinary consultancy firms offering unparalleled opportunities for talented individuals in search of a rewarding career. We provide more than just a job; we offer an opportunity to make a difference and shape the world for future generations and the environment.

Our UK Environment Practice is a vibrant network of approximately 600 people providing world-class consultancy and advisory services. We focus on outcomes for our clients facing challenges like climate change, social inclusion, and urbanisation. Our work influences decision-making and project delivery amidst global disruption. We seek an individual with practical experience in environmental coordination, assessment, and management to join our Glasgow team. Key clients include Transport Scotland, Scottish Water, energy companies, and local authorities.

This role offers excellent career development for an experienced candidate eager to progress in a dynamic industry. You will collaborate with technical specialists, lead environmental impact assessments (EIA), develop new business, and mentor colleagues.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in environmental or related sciences and a thorough understanding of EIA technical requirements. We support ongoing professional development through training and mentoring to maximise your talents.

Responsibilities:

* Leading environmental work coordination and delivery, including EIA, options appraisals, and environmental management.
* Managing a team of environmental professionals and promoting high standards of environmental performance within multidisciplinary projects.
* Compiling and editing reports, ensuring quality, timeliness, and budget adherence.
* Managing client relationships professionally, supporting bid preparation, and developing new business areas.
* Engaging in CPD activities aligned with your professional institute’s requirements.

Requirements:

* Degree or Masters in environmental or science disciplines; Chartership mandatory.
* Significant postgraduate experience, preferably in consultancy and major infrastructure projects.
* Deep knowledge of the EIA process and technical expertise.
* Leadership experience in multidisciplinary teams, strong report writing, presentation, and review skills.
* Ability to prioritize under pressure, communicate effectively, and adapt to new challenges, including working at various AtkinsRéalis or client locations.

What we offer?

We support flexible working arrangements to accommodate individual needs, promoting a diverse, inclusive workforce with a healthy work-life balance. Our flexible working policies mean no fixed hours or full-time requirement by default.

Rewards and Benefits:

Competitive salary, 25 days’ leave plus bank holidays, and options to buy or sell leave. Salary and benefits depend on experience and qualifications. More details available at YourReward at SNC-Lavalin (snclavalin.com).

Training:

We provide access to extensive training and development programs, supporting professional memberships and personal growth.

Additional Information:

This role may require security clearance, contingent on UKSV vetting, which may include proof of residency in the UK for 5 years or more. Please do not mention security clearance in your application or CV.

We are committed to diversity and inclusion, offering family-friendly policies, flexible working, and employee networks to support staff from all backgrounds. We value applications from all backgrounds, cultures, and abilities.
