About the role
In your role as IT Project Manager you will make a meaningful and valued contribution from the outset. This role will provide a great opportunity tomanage projects within the IT Portfolio (a mix of technical and non-technical work packages) using an agreed project management methodology and adhering to the USS Change Model
For assigned projects, deliver through the recognised and agreed lifecycle to baselined time, cost & quality
What you will be doing
As a trusted part of the IT you will be responsible for:
* Lead and deliver assigned projects, ensuring defined goals, scope, and milestones are met
* Produce accurate status reports and stakeholder packs, maintaining control through change methodology
* Manage project resources effectively, escalating conflicts and leading teams throughout delivery
* Run meetings and workshops, ensuring stakeholder engagement and clear communication
* Create and maintain high-quality project documentation aligned with governance frameworks
* Collaborate with IT and Transformation teams to share and apply best practices
* Provide peer support, cover for colleagues, and contribute to continuous process improvement
About you

To be successful in the role you will have:
* Strong knowledge of project management principles, governance, and risk control
* Industry-recognised project management certification or accreditation
* Experience in business and IT change projects as part of a project team
* Skilled in planning, scheduling, and coordinating project activities
* Able to work independently with excellent organisational skills
* Clear and concise communicator with strong presentation skills
* Experience in stakeholder engagement and working with third-party IT suppliers
