CONTRACT OPPORTUNITY AVAILABLE WITH A LEADING AEROSPACE COMPANY FOR A REPAIR STRESS ENGINEER
* Onsite in Filton - opportunity for 2 days a week from home
* BPSS clearance required
Responsibilities of the Repair Stress Engineer:
* Join a team responsible for static strength analysis of metallic and composite structures.
* Collaborate with Design and F&DT engineers to assess and validate repairs to damaged aircraft structures.
* Complete justification reports and engineering documentation.
* Develop optimal repairs with skilled designers.
* Perform structural static strength analysis using ISAMI and Mathcad.
* Have an Aircraft Structural Engineering background.
* Possess knowledge of ISAMI and Mathcad.
* Use hand and computer methods for static analysis.
* Experience with composite materials is beneficial.
* Ability to pass a BPSS check.
