The Isle of Wight Council is seeking an inspirational project leader to join the SEND & Inclusion Team to shape our project work and successfully deliver current and future programmes in line with our SEND Vision, local strategies, and national policies.
This is an exciting time to join our team as we embark on a new phase of working, moving away from a ten year strategic Children’s Services partnership with Hampshire County Council. Thanks to the hard work and commitment of all involved, this partnership delivered significant results and we are now ready to reach new heights and we want you to join us on our journey.
As our new Project Leader you will work with the SEND & Inclusion Team to support in the delivery of transforming SEND, there is a strong leadership across education ready to welcome you into our service to improve the outcomes for children, young people, and their families on the Island.
The Isle of Wight is currently part of the Department for Education’s Safety Valve Programme and the successful candidate will be responsible for leading this project ensuring the workstream benefits to deliver the commitments in the agreement are progressing and on track, alongside senior leaders and key players.
As Project Leader you will be required to work in collaboration with and provide professional advice and guidance as well as co-ordinating specific projects with colleagues, key stakeholders and councillors so you will need to be able to maintain constructive working relationships.
If you believe you have the right skills for this role we would love to hear from you, please contact the service for an informal chat.
