To oversee the daily operations of the Receipt & Distribution (R&D) Dept of the John Radcliffe (JR) site.
To support the R&D Supervisor with day-to-day management of the John Radcliffe R&D Team, ensuring appropriate staffing levels, via Performance, Standards, Attendance and Reliability etc.
Ensure deliveries are checked and receipted onto the Trust’s Purchasing system and internal distribution to Dept are tracked, escalating discrepancies to relevant staff.
To maintain highest standards of behaviour & professionalism within the R&D Dept esp with regard to Health & Safety of the Team and others.
Main duties of the job
Develop and promote effective working relationships with Suppliers, Couriers / Delivery Staff and all relevant Trust staff and attend multi-disciplinary user group meetings and implement and facilitate team meetings as appropriate.
Demonstrate and develop skills in efficient and effective resource management, staffing, equipment and materials. This may include daily / short notice changes to planned work therefore a calm and organised approach to work is essential. Assist the R&D Supervisor(s) assessment and monitoring of staffing requirements and escalate problems to the appropriate manager. Ensure staff Timekeeping and attendance.
