We’re looking for an Employee Relations Case Team Lead to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis, based in our Bradford office. The role offers hybrid working.
The ER Case Team Leader plays a key role in delivering an effective, high‑quality employee relations service by leading a team of ER Case Advisors. The role ensures consistent and legally compliant case management, provides experienced oversight of complex and high‑risk matters, strengthens manager capability, and drives continuous improvement across ER quality, processes, and service delivery.
What will you be doing?
1. Lead, mentor, and develop a team of ER Case Advisors to deliver a high‑performing, engaged, and consistent service
2. Allocate and prioritise ER caseloads, balancing risk, complexity, and team capacity
3. Provide expert oversight, challenge, and quality assurance on ER advice and case outcomes
4. Supervise and support complex ER cases, acting as escalation point for high‑risk, sensitive, or business‑critical matters
5. Partner with senior managers and key stakeholders to provide confident, pragmatic ER advice
6. Ensure ER case management is fair, consistent, evidence‑based, and compliant with UK employment law and company policy
7. Identify ER trends, risks, and root causes, using MI to inform actions and improve manager capability
8. Drive continuous improvement across ER processes, policies, quality standards, and service delivery

Essential:
9. Proven experience in an Employee Relations or HR Advisory role
10. Strong working knowledge of UK employment law, with practical application
11. Proven experience managing complex, high‑risk ER cases end to end
12. Strong collaborative stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and build alignment at all levels.
13. Confident decision‑maker, able to provide constructive challenge and clear direction
14. Experience managing ER cases within a multi‑client or outsourced environment
Desirable:
15. Experience leading, managing, or mentoring HR/ER professionals
16. CIPD Level 5 or Level 7 qualification (or equivalent experience)
17. Background in high‑volume and/or unionised environments
18. Experience supporting organisational change, including restructures, TUPE, or redundancy programmes
