Equifind are supporting a UK-based financial services group specialising in trading securities, including bonds, derivatives and equities, to hire a Senior Financial Accountant. The role is based at their office near Bank in the City of London.

Reporting to the Finance Director, this is a key role within the finance team, responsible for leading on technical accounting, tax support, and audit management, while overseeing several areas within financial control and reporting.
Key deliverables
1. Research and prepare technical accounting memos to support accounting treatments for new and existing areas, as required by auditors or third parties.
2. Prepare monthly tax accounting entries and balance sheet reconciliations, including review of analysis and disallowable expenses.
3. Ensure timely and accurate submission of annual tax computations.
4. Prepare tax information relating to investments.
5. Support the finalisation and review of the month-end reporting pack, particularly technical aspects such as consolidation adjustments, balance sheet reconciliations, and reporting controls.
