Robert Half are seeking a permanent Procurement Specialist for a growing manufacturing organisation based in Newport.
The Procurement Specialist will be joining a growing team and reporting into the Head of Procurement. There are excellent opportunities for career progression.
Your remit will be:
1. Cost Optimization: Negotiate pricing and delivery schedules with suppliers to achieve cost-effective procurement solutions without compromising quality.
2. Contract Management. Negotiate terms, manage requirements and contract renewals.
3. Supplier Sourcing & Management: Identify, evaluate, and establish strong relationships with new and existing suppliers to meet the company’s needs for raw materials, components, and services.
4. Inventory Management: Collaborate with key stakeholders to setup commercial deals to best suit business requirements.
5. Supplier Performance Management & Tracking: Monitor and assess supplier performance, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery, quality, and cost efficiency. Work with suppliers to address any performance issues.
6. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate supply chain risks such as Single Sourced, material shortages, supplier delays, or disruptions.
